Mafia #98: The Grinch Returns -- The Play

It seems to me JP that if you were switched by the nip, you would have been able to switch your vote and not cause and issue with the town winning or losing even if you were communicating scum. You are one of the best in the game. It also seems to me that if a players role causes one to switch sides, then their new team is who they should be playing for.

Why would you not have voted for LG with the argument I had put out there? If she is scum, as you are stating now we still would have lynched scum.

Switching roles isn't that easy, Wiz. I'm flattered that you think I could do it that easily but I pushed quite a bit for Bally.

I'm not sure what you mean by your question. I don't think I was around to vote for LG when she actually started getting votes. I came back and all of a sudden LG and Kash ended up being tied.

Then that brings up the question what is AAF, he tied it up iirc because he was confused, so he made a choice in the most indecisive way

AAF tied it up at my urging. I based everything I thought on LG being scum. I did not state anything about her posting that I didn't actually see. That said, I know that in the past I have gotten an innocent LG lynched by seeing the same type of posting from her. When Kashta flipped scum it was like a kick to the groin. I couldn't believe I was so wrong. It also made me realize how tired I was and I really shouldn't have tried to play with the limited time I had. I stayed away from the game all weekend so I am rested now but, not knowing how many scum there are I believe we either win or lose tonight.

You stated that the name LG claimed to have did not exist in your game. In light of the above statement do you not think it possible that LR might have made other changes?

Possible? Yes, but not likely.

Keep in mind I was scum when I stated that...I wasn't giving the town more info than was out there.

Click on the link I posted to the game I ran. If you go to the very last post on that thread you will see the PMs I sent to the innocent elves.

"You are an innocent elf by the name of Sugarplum Mary. As top sweets-maker in the North Pole, no one can resist your famous Christmas sugar cookies. That is why, if delivered to an evil elf, they will convince the player to stop communicating with their leader for the rest of the game. However, you only have one chance to deliver the cookies to any player you believe has a connection with the Grinch."

So AFAIK that role was not changed. I'm pretty sure with AAF (Alabaster Snowball) and Rich (Pepper Minstix) having roles exactly like that game that Lab reused them.

I too pushed plenty hard for Bally. With AAF's list out there, even though Bally was on it, I found reason to vote other than Bally. Mind you I am no where near the player you are. I would think, since you had also mentioned suspecting Kashta earlier in the game, you could have at least found a way to vote her.

I retract my vote on pap and vote to lynch Lg

Going through, it is difficult to see anything different in a post or posts you have read over and over. Let me state, IIRC, the only thing I saw LG go after Kashta for was lack of posting. Knowing firsthand why she didn't have the time to post, because of our schedules, I found it difficult to consider Kashta a suspect. If someone can see any other reasons she went after Kashta let me know so I can look into it.

I mentioned suspecting Kash but she was someone I threw out there as an after thought, mainly for distancing purposes earlier in the game.

I vote for my top suspect and I make that well known in these games. I pushed for Dun and Bally the night before and voted Dun mainly because by the time I realized I needed to place a vote it would have been wasted had I voted for Bally. Would it not have seemed odd had I turned around and voted for Kash right away?

Once it became too close for comfort I had to switch from Bally to Kash. You'll notice my vote wasn't exactly worded that strongly as I didn't really have anything concrete on Kash to make the vote solid. I think all townies should take note of that post. Then the LG case came up but I wasn't around. I would have voted her if I could...

Wiz, do you think that if Kash felt she wasn't able to play the game to her full ability that she would tell her team to sacrifice her if given the opportunity? If yes, do you think AAF's list was that opportunity? Think about it.

Lg is too forceful to get people to vote, ego stroking AAF and telling me voting kash is the way to prove im innocent and when lg builds a story it's an over the top story, she always go to far
