moss balls?

it's actually algae. it is not a plant that naturally grows into a ball. you have to roll it once in awhile to keep the ball shape. where it grows in the wild, the tides and currents roll it. it's a slow grower, but if you want it to 'reproduce' then you manually break it up and roll it into 2 balls.

it photosynthesizes to get energy to grow. aside from what it literally does, it is an aquarium decoration. if simply being a decoration means it has "no actual point", then yes. it has no actual point. it won't start spawning fish. it won't cure ich. it won't kill snails. it won't really feed your fish. it won't wash your car.

lol. Wash your car lol.

The moss balls are neat and my shrimps seem to favor it tons... I think partially because it is algae. The japanese are currently preserving it from endangerment and they're said to bring good luck :D
