The point is that they starve the bag algae of needed nutrients keeping your tank algae free!

You do not have to manually separate them....They propagate by division, all on their own.....One of my favorite plants.

Hej, you forgot one thing. This moss, attached to wood gives excellent hiding places for shrimp fry, I have many loaches, but my shrimp population trives well, guess because of the moss...
So if you need a reason, there it is. (maybe not for the balls,though...)

Up to about 12". The biggest you'll probably find for sale is around 4".
