my 125 gallon planted tank journal

Such a beauty to look at!! I lost track of time lookin in this tank.
I wonder if maintenance absorb some of the joy we all enjoy on this tread=) heheh
Also, would You share your tips for us as far as lighting, Co2 and Fert dosing for such tank?

lol thanks for the compliments but it's a surprisingly simple tank. no co2 or fets ( shrimp and snails in the tank). i have 8, t12 day max, flourescent full spectrum bulbs. its pretty much 320 watts for 125 gallons. i do a 50% water change twice a week. ph is 6.8- 7.0, no ammonia, nitrate, nitrite.... i wish i had high lighting but cant afford the electricity.

Your tank is amazing man, i love it! Those mollies are outrageous!!

really nice tank!

OMG.. No Co2 or Ferts added!!
I believe this shows that Co2 and plant food can be supplied by water change.
Jaysen's tank is as green as can be, I wonder if we can get the same results with desktop planted tank.
Thanks Jaysen.

the plants are much darker now and dont stop growing. i would say that adding ferts would make the plants go out of hand. as of now i am trimming the moss once a week. here are some new pics with the lights reduced.

yea it is wisteria. it was dooing well when it was under the lights directly but not so well in the corner. im gonna have to move it around, maybe tomorrow. i wish the ludwiga would grow faster. maybe my tank isnt ideal for it.
