My 29g Set-up

Sometimes I use Macro, sometimes not. I also have supermacro. The macro settings haven't been real successful for me in lower-light situations.
It's a good camera, I just don't know what the heck I'm doing. Maybe I'll read up on aquarium photography a bit.
I doubt they're different strains technically, just very different stock.
The Killi breeder told me he was one of the first to breed CPD when they came to the states, so his may have been line bred for a while.
Oh, I also did some rearranging of the wood and anubias to make room for some Corkscrew Vals and Crypts I got from Gojirador.
I'll post an updated whole-tank pic sometime soon.

I love macro setting with ISO (which is meant to reduce blur for lower light settings - at least that's what mine says).

Dang, that ulvaceous is getting so big! Are those corkscrew vals?

Where's the fish? I think we need a video...:popcorn:

Yep, corkscrew. And yes, the Ulvaceus is a monster. I may sip some of the bigger leaves. There are lots of new ones coming. This most recent flower is huge. I'm almost certain I'm going to get seeds from it.

I'm surprised at the ulvaceous leaves that end up going horizontal under the surface... I have a. crispus and everything I read said the leaves will not do this, and will only grow to the depth of your tank. I had a bunch of leaf melt when I first moved the tank, so new leaves are growing in now... will need to see if they grow long like yours.

BTW - where's the riccia mat?
 
The Riccia mat is in there. There's a very light patch on the surface, left of center. That's the light reflecting off of it. You can see the edge of it towards the top of the tank in the flower pics as well.
I've decided to let the Ulvaceus grow as long as it wants. I'm not sure if it's beautiful, but the Clown Killis like it, especially now that I added the water baffle. They're using the whole tank now! Thanks!
 
Those ruffles are so damned sexy! I'm going to check my favorite lfs for ulvaceous & c. spiralis tomorrow... maybe even pick up some more CPD! I'd just hate to get more males... may need to actively look for females in the marketplace, or something.
