My 30 gallon tank

Thanks for reading this, I read it all the way through also and I can't beleive how bare it looked when I started. I use a gallon jar of DIY CO2 mix and diffuse it via a CO2 ladder and then into a powerhead that chops up the bubbles that make it through the ladder. I dose 2.5 ml of Seachem's Flourish every Wednesday and Sundays after a 30% water change. The plant that you're talking about is Pennywort, the one with the pale-green, wide leaves. I've found out that if I sink a leaf into the sand and cover it, it stays there rooted to the ground.

Glad to read it, I'm going to convert your schedule into a 55g and try it for a while. Nice work!

1. No there isn't a barrier up yet because I could not find a suitable piece of glass or plastic to give me a glass top. When I find one, I'll put it in. In the meantime, I've kept surface agitation to the very minimum so water won't splash over the lights and because I have CO2 in the tank.

2. The fixtures are mounted to the canopy by 1/8" thick wires bent across the sockets with the ends curved around on themselves with a screw going through it to hold them in place. I hope that made sense, you can see it the best on the front double socket. Don't worry, the light's aren't touching the top of the canopy itself, it just looks that way because of the reflection of the white paint.

3. The 4 pack of 23watt 6500K lights was 12 dollars, the sockets where 10 dollars and the wire and wire ties I already had laying around in my garage. In all, $22 for just over 3 WPG.

Nice work!

THe one that you're probably looking at is Pennywort, I already took it out of that place though. All I have there now are just Corkcscrew Vals.
