My 45 Gallon Heavily Planted - 8 Weeks In - Seriously!

Why has no one commented on this update yet!? Shame, shame :nono: Tank looks great! I have to admit I love the first scape the best but this new one looks fantastic as well!
Those cichlids & loaches are superb! :thm: But...I noticed sometime between 2-21 & 4-19 updates that the cardinals & rummy noses have disappeared.....? Where did they go and what are those orangeish blurs in there now?

We moved the cardinals and rummies to our 150 - we added a school of 12 fire rasboras to the 45 - there are also 7 black tetras.
Your tank is awesome I am so jealous. Some people have all the luck.

A couple of updated pics - we added a make-shift cave for the Pelvicachromis. Will fill in around and over it during the next few weeks. We really needed to get it in - they are coloring up and really seem to like the cave / mother / father idea. Also added a few plants from the 150 and trimmed up the 45 a bit ...
Bad news is that the Pelvicachromis signatus both died - same day, virtually the same time about a week after being added to the tank. No real explanation - they just didn't make the move from the LFS (the only fish I have ever had that didn't make it from the LFS).
The good news is that we replaced them with a pair of Pelvicachromis taeniatus and they did make the move to our tank very well. They are both very active and beginning to color up, dance and get ready for the family.

No - we are still waiting. Right now the male is very dominate. I spoke w/ the girl at the LFS - she said her pair took a little time to first mate. After that the female became more dominate and it happens about every 6 to 8 weeks now! We have our fingers crossed ...
