Your tank is beautiful.What kind of lighting do you have?I have heard it can be difficult to get the right lighting for hex tanks.

/\ /\ I have 2 Coralife fixtures (correct, it was a bit of a pain to find lights that fit the tank) - 1 is 24" w/ 2 x 65W at 6,700k; the other is a Coralife w/ 2 x 18W at 10,000k. Total of 166W giving us about 4 wpg. The lights are set on an 8 hr per day cycle. Actually I never intended to become such an aquarium nut when we bought the corner tank. It has been more of a challenge than say a 75 for planting, etc. It does fit nicely in the room and has been a very good little tank.
I'll say I'm impressed with the tank specs just for a 45gs- still at disbelief what fish you got in there and still 2 fluval 305s
