Really as I used my sandbed from my 56gal when upgrading to a 90gal. I rinsed the sand out some (filled bucket with sand wither water, stirred some, poured out top murky water, repeat), put it in the bottom of the 90gal and added more sand on top. No problems yet.

I am getting concerned the I don't have enough LR to make it look as good as I want it to. Just might have to go the LFS and get some more cured LR.
If you wanted to save some money, you could always just pourchase some really intresting base rock and build it into the backside of your aquascaping. I'm considering that now as I want to build up one side of my tank a bit, but don't want to spend another fortune on live rock.

Love the new sun coral, I might have to add one next month because Pallen and now you are making me long for one.
Have you seen the amonia or nitrate/nitrite go up. That is supposed to be the impact becuase if you have an established sandbed then you will have dying fauna, thus the increased amonia, nitra/ite - so I have been told by my LFS.
I am really frustrated becuase the LFS sold me the Octopus 2000 and said it would fit the custom sump that he made for me and it doesn't - not even close. Not fun to find out when you are putting the tank back together. I am on my way over to fix the situation - they have been really helpful so shouldn't be a problem. Oh, I got a 25# Rock today and it is AWSOME. Try to get some pics tonight when the water clears.
That seems to be what most things I've read and heard support as well, especially when a DSB was used.
Ok....I am asking for a critique. How do you think the aquascaping is coming. It is still reaaalllllly cloudy but you can get the gist of it. I put the large rock in the RH corner (up front look great but takes up way too much room) the rock to the left has a little pass through and that is where I think I will put the sun coral tomorrow. I have three more pieces to put in the tank and will most likely stack them on the left and make a shelf or outcroping of some sorts. Appreciate any advice you can provide....THANK YOU.
