My baby snapper

I got him some reptomin floating food sticks. I have to break each stick into 4 pieces so he can show em down. Just gave him 3 sticks.

He looks like E.T. no?

Glad to hear you got the little guy on Reptomin. I find that getting baby turtles on pellets is the hardest part of keeping them. Once they take to them it's a walk in the park.

dang I was hoping for red snapper ;) nice turtle :D

He took them since the day I put them in the tank. Now when he sees me drop it in the water he practically jumps at it. I wonder how long it will take before he realizes the guppies are food. I might end up with the only vegetarian snapper haha.

Your snapper might never view the guppies as food source but I doubt that will ever happen when dealing with such a predatory species. But hey, who knows. The earlier you you keep the two together the more they get use to each other. I keep Musk and Mud Turtles with fish and they never have attempted to eat them. Heck they crawl all over the pleco that lives with them and the convict cichlid pushes them around.

Update, he aint small no more!

The hornwort I had in his tank before killed itself after I moved in the summer. I guess going from well water to public was to much for it. so I got a few bunches today and threw 1 bunch in his tank. Hopefully it takes off.

As for the tanks glass, I like it to look all natural in his tank so I dont clean the glass except the front one for viewing.
