My baby snapper

Nice looking snapper. The safest to pick him up and move him would be to drain the tank down so he can't swim around and to pick him up by his tail. They have longer necks than people think when they stretch them out. It might seem cruel to some, but just don't yank them up. Turtles are very tough animals. I've never had any as pets but have caught more than I can count and wouldn't think of picking them up any other way.

If I ever have to pick him up or move him its gonna be with leather gloves with metal guarding my hands.
an image popped into my head just now of some body wearing leather gloves and trying to catch an amused snapper in a tank full of water with metal tongs. :)

Big big bigger!

He can eat pretty good sized frogs now!

on babies its actually better to pick up by the back of the shell, most can't reach around. For juvies, your best bet is a forklift.
