My First SW Tank!

Sheesh guys!
Sorry I started this whole feud. I was just asking a simple question. There's no need to be arguing over something like this. Both of ya'll have made you're point, and now we just need to get back to the first subject.

i did

it doesnt work that way.

you need to do research.

and based on the full tank shot thread, id would suggest doing your own research and basing your decesions on fact, rather than someones stubborn opinion that a vg is "fine" in sw.

VG are a brackish fish. period.

read. research. deduce. conclude.

i will not excuse anyone submitting a living animal to opinion, when all it takes is you showing a lil motivation and effort to get the actual information for yourself..

I keep seeing Caribbean in the distribution part of VG profiles... That would make me think that they could be in SW and be quite happy. There isn't a whole lot of info about VGs on Google, so I guess my question is:
Does anyone who has experience with Violet gobies know if they would be happy in SW?

yes, i had one for years, and no they are a BRACKISH FISH THAT LIVES IN ESTUARIES i.e. SG below 1.020

tolorence is not suitability

brackish tanks are sweet.

did you ever heare of a gymnothorax tile? (GOOGLE!)

I'm not sure if that would be okay with violet gobies would it? And also, wouldn't get a little bit too big for a 30g?
It looks really cool, but I wouldn't want to "cramp" his style, if you know what I mean!

Thanks for the links catpicklesdog!
I haven't been on those websites in a while... Anyway, since I now know that Violet Gobies need to be brackish, what else should I put in with it?
