My fish commit suicide!!

Simply cut an opening in the plexi for the filters. Glass lids have a plastic strip that can be cut to allow for equipment

Does the plexi glass not affect the lighting though?

in the wild if a fish jumps it always lands in the water again- they're just being frisky, platys, swordtails, bettas, even corys,. . . tons of fish have been know to jump- you've gotta take precautions- i have suspended light and HOB and I'm still able to have a glass lid, but you can come up with all sorts of solutions.

I had a male sword tail years ago who jumped out the narrow opening for the filter inflow 4 times i found him on the ground and put him back in the tank- he was a stinker!

cheers-K

have you tested your water? sometimes fish jump for no reason, other times they may be trying to escape something.

I did a water test shortly after and the results were:
pH 7.6
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 5-10

I don't know the stocking of your tank that the fish jumped out of...but sometimes other simi-agressive or aggressive fish might chase your fish and it just happened to jump out. Or like others said the fish could have done it for no reason at all.

Maybe something scared the fish and it just happened to jump.
