My L-144 Project

I will post pics later today. I am at work right now and was looking at the others and one looks even bigger and it has lacing on its scales, they are brown but with nice black edges, I like it. Oh and I found out that they are big time raspers, they havent left the drift wood yet, lol.

Way to big and wrong color for L144. Mine max out at 3.5 inches, and mine come from 2 different suppliers.

Hey Temptress, how are your babies doing? I've been gone from AC for a while, but I'm back (hopefully). I had to move 3 of my babies into my 55 gallon. None of them seemed to be growing and I assumed that was because I had 6 in a 30 gallon. But now that I've got 3 to each tank, they're heads are starting to grow a little more. So hopefully I'll see some bristles pretty soon and I can sex them. :D

Hey, I was just able to sex my first pleco. It's just now starting to show the bristles. :)

I think I have 2 more that are about the same size and are almost sexable. Have you had any luck yet?

I know these little critters take a really long time to mature.

Thanks! I can't wait till the other 5 start showing. :D I'm really excited. I check them everyday to see.

At this age you should be able to start to see a difference in the midsection. Can be easier done if they are out and about in the front. Perfect time to drop some food in the front of the tank and sit there like a piece of furniture staring at them. LOL! The females will begin to show a wideness about the midsection and the males stay very, very slender in the midsection. The females are already carrying their first batch of eggs at this age. Take a look when you have time....and report back!:grinyes:
