My luck finally ran out (ich)

I think I've about won the battle. The visual signs of ich have almost disappeared (maybe one or two very tiny dots for the entire shoal left), the hatchets are feeding well and I've seen at least one of the two farlos actively grazing on a cucumber slice so they aren't starving after wiping the tank clean of algae.

I shall of course keep the quarantine and heat treatment going for a couple weeks minimum to make absolutely sure the problem is fully eradicated, but I believe the worst is over.

This is by no means been my first time dealing with ich, but it has nonetheless been a number of years as I've not bought any new fish in a long time so memory is rather rusty. It's also my first time quarantining fish, actively testing water parameters, growing live plants on a full scale (all I did in the past was a couple Java ferns and a clump of Java moss) and all that jazz.

In essence I've had fish since forever and always had something of a vague knowledge of what I was doing like water changes and tank cycling and such, but these past few months have seen me stepping up my game to do everything more "professionally" for lack of a better term.
