My New Stendker Discus Have Arrived!

Yeah!! Everyone is foraging this morning! I put some of Ken's spyro flake in this morning and all 7 are swimming along and blowing on leaves eating!! The last one to move and start swimming is out eating too. It's fins are still not opened up like the rest, but at least it's stress bars have disappeared and it is getting nourishment.

:clap::woot::thm:

sweet. can't wait for the pics.

:thumbsup: WHOOT :clap: YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are hungry little buggers! And have eaten everything I have offered. Which is wonderful. I did make some of Hans' mix for them, but only fed it one time today. I am hoping to get away from the beef. They really like the mixed stick from kensfish. I put them in my Pampered Chef chopper and chopped them smaller as I was afraid they would be too big for them to eat. Boy did they ever go after that. It has veggie, earthworm, spiro, and a couple other kinds of sticks in it. They also liked the bloodworms, but I figured that would be a given. The cories and BNs seem to like cleaning up too. So all seems to be going well. They do hide when I vac the tank, but are right back out within 5 minutes of stopping.

I do hope you guys don't mind me continuing to update this as I am way excited about these guys and my hubby doesn't quite understand my giddiness or my stress over doing this right.

You are expected to keep us updated Snoop! I feel your excitement having discus of my own and know the thrill of adding new ones! It's always a bit apprehensive when getting new ones, not knowing if they'll settle right in, etc.....and oh so thrilling when they do! I cannot add any more discus at the moment, so I enjoy you sharing your experiences with them. And yes, juvie discus are hungry buggers and full of spunk! The adults are much more complacent. I have not tried any of the kensfish sticks with the discus, I do put some earthworm stick pieces in the plants at night for the amano shrimp. I have found that all my other fish go wild for those earthworm sticks.

:iagree:Updates are a MUST -

If constint updates are not produced We will start riots in the streets lol

did you get 2.5" discus or 3"?
