Yeah, started with one I'm at 7 now. Oops husband nags and nags and nags about it too but honestly it's been very beneficial for my mental health so I ignore the nagging

You need to work on that spousal thing, Noodle My husband helps nowadays but at our house it's always been, well, not 50/50 but 1 more than the other at times. It's been me as the main "fish keeper" for many years. I don't mind the work & I get the "decider" vote for next fish etc...but we're not far apart on most issues...I can be very convincing, LOL...I bet you can too

LOL he's been on me to actually *downsize* the number of tanks. If only he knew I'd love more
And planning more for the day we move to a house instead of an apartment. Then I'll have a fish room and can add what I can manage. Really, I just want 1 more big tank lol my river tank.

10g is an algae mess. I've gotta figure out what to change. Change of lighting isn't working lol either too much light for the low light stuff or too low for the high light stuff. Balance is hard.



Unsure if I've mentioned it, but my pangio doriae have apparently spawned successfully because I discovered a subadult sized fish in the tank, I now have 4 doriae instead of the 3 I had. Could be more as far as I know, but I know I've seen this little guy out with the 3 adults.

No CO2 in any of my tanks. I can't wrap my head around that stuff, and it's an expense I just can't justify haha

co2 has its place but it depends on the tank type and what you grow. My non-co2 tanks can be as dense as my co2 tanks but the plants i grow are different. As far as expense - at least where i live the setup cost some dollars but the yearly fee is only around $20 to refill the co2 container. Which do i prefer - i really like 2 of my non-co2 tanks a lot but i'm also really happy with my co2 tank so i can't say i prefer one over the other but it lets me experiment with different types of plants.

The 10g, put a black background back. It's got some algae still going on but it's shaping up better.

I gutted this one yesterday to catch 50+ baby BN plecos, put it back together and still have baby plecos in there. It's stirred up and needs to grow back in after a trim but meh.

I think the biggest risk is when you replace the canister from time to time - but i now use ph monitors with alert systems so i will be notify if the ph suddenly goes where it shouldn't (an indication of a dump or something similar). I currently have 5 aquariums with 2 on co2. After I move in the spring I will have 12 aquariums but again only 2 on co2. For one of them i just inject a little to 'boost' growth rate; the other is more for focus on some plants that really need co2 to do well so in that sense i only have 1 with lots of co2. I do find that most common green plants grow quite well without co2 and my non co2 aquariums have good density just different selection of plants.

I will say that pleco (well bn anyway) are beginning to annoy me. My lemon blue eye breed like once a month and for a while the nannacara was keeping things under control but now he cant' keep up and the tank must have somehwere between 50 and 100 little ones. Everytime i work myself behind the tank i see them everywhere in the back. Oh well when I move and redo the aquarium i think i will have to sep. mom and dad because well enough is enough
