My whitewater preds!

hey, nice looking fish indeed. And what type of light do you use? Ive been looking for that kind of darkness look to my tank but dont know how to get it, if there are any tips or secrets that would be great.

The tank looks dark because I didn't use any flash lol.

A good strategy to darken the back of the tank is to move the light all the way up front and hook it onto the lid's handle and have a dark background. It works great at work. I actually have a 17 watt bulb, and a 20 watt bulb on this tank so the plants hopefully don't die.

If you have a breeder style tank you can do the normal light in the front and a small 18" bulb in the back as well so the fish don't hide in the back all day. I was using only actinic on the old tank which gave it sort of a moonlight effect, but I wanted a more natural effect on this tank.

That looks fantastic. I have no idea what any of the fish are except that one looks a little like an archerfish? That last one I'm sure I've never seen.

Really like the fish though.

Thanks! The last one is the one that is curled up in the hole in the driftwood.

No archerfish, but they do look very similar.

Nice fish. I hope that you have a BIG tank for those monsters!!!
