I need advice on a 75 gal.
do you think this would be a good stocked tank ?
5 clown loaches
3 upside down cats
5 silver dollars
10-20 neon tetras
5 mollies
6 guppies
and a few ghost shrimp

any thoughts ??

Silver dollars may eat the tetras not sure about that one though. Maybe three or four clowns seems a bit overstocked.

yeah, I think the silver dollars might make a snack out of the neons and guppys, once they got bigger. Also, you might want to skip the clowns. They do grow slowly, but you will eventually need a larger tank for them, plus without very good water conditions they are VERY ick prone.

Silver dollars and clown loaches both get pretty large, and will have to be moved at some point if you get them. There are other cool fish that would fit out there though.

I just got a 75G as well. I'm planning for some rainbow fish and barbs. I am thinking about 5-6 clown loaches as well, but once they get to about six inches they'll probably need a bigger tank.

It's totally up to you, a larger pleco always looks good.

Not sure if my planted 75g is considered "over-stocked" but I have the following.

10 - Angelfish
4 - Gouramis (2 pair)
5 - Albino Cories
1 - Pleco

The Angel's range in size from pretty big (maybe 5-6 inches) to much smaller ones that are around 2-3.5 inches. Only 2 of the biggest, and the majority are of the smaller size. The Pleco is close to full grown, as he is about 1.5 years old and around 6-7 inches.

Water tests within "ok" ranges, and I do have 2 bio-wheel 330 filters working.

A couple changes here:

2 bushynose plecos (or 1 snowball , gibbiceps, goldnugget, royal, or other specialty pleco)
3 upside down cats
3 pearl or moonlight gourami (1 male and 2 female)
10-20 neon tetras
5 mollies
6 guppies
and a few ghost shrimp

any thoughts ??

Loaches will eat the ghost shrimp, better to get plecos
