Need some help with an outdoor pond!

I have no problem seeing frogs and hatchling turtles on the bottom in 4' of water, so thats clear enough for me.
 
Oh nice! I'll get the 18w. What is in your pond now?
 
I have a few dozen feeder comets, they bred last spring, 3 koi, 3 turtles and anywhere from 1-2 dozen bullfrogs depending on the season, they come and go as they please. I might get a few more koi this year and I'd like to get 2-3 more turtles as well.
 
Oh that sounds nice. How many gallons is yours?
 
My best estimate is about 1200gal. Its 12' long, 7' wide at the largest point, kind of kidney shaped, and the bottom is stepped. It goes from 2' deep at the narrower end to a 3' step in the middle and the widest end is 4' deep.
 
Wow that's so cool. Did you dig it out yourself and buy a liner? What process did you do to create it?
 
I had a build thread with pics but I don't know what happened to it. I'll post a new one in my blog so I can keep track of it, and let you know when I do.

It was here, but it was like 2 years ago. Might have gotten lost in one of the server moves or something. I still have all the pictures. Might have to wait for the weekend so I can bring my computer home.
