New 20g Shellie Tank

alot of cichlids seem to be slow growing. ive had my chailosi since they were like, a quarter inch, maybe a little bigger, and they are just now reaching around 2 1/2 - 3 inch im just really impatient. thats why if i ever buy a altocomp, which i want to, ill buy a good sized one.

yep is what i did but i also went small as well to get the slow growing effect hehehe

uh-uh. id get to bored with that, i want some sumbu shells though.... those are awsome, on aquabid they are goin for $110 for a trio. screw that.

Unfortunately, my wife is enjoying that tank too, so it keeps her involved. Honestly now thinking about it, I'm kinda looking forward to seeing my Boesmani Rainbows grow. I've got some tremendous 3-4" Goyder River bows, so I'd like to see if I can keep them to get to that size. But breeding them is a horror from what I've read, so forget about any income from that.

omg, i love bosemans rainbows. they are so pretty, i just dont like the hefty price tag on them.

My next fave type of fish is Aussie's they get a decent size and look pretty awesome aye..

Yeah the dude selling the sumbu's lives only 25 minutes away from me and is where i get my Comp's from and Eddie as well..

how much are the sumbus?

Yeah, I think I paid $13 each for them at 1-1/2". I've got 4 now, and I think I have all males. The Goyder Rivers(Trifasciata variation) I bought at the size they are now because my wife loved them. Paid $25 each for them:eek:! Here's 2 shots
