New 30 gallon planted tank build.

The yellow you see is just the lighting in the picture. I assure you that all leaves are green. I think I see where you're talking about and I'll try to get a close-up of that area so you can see.

I don't see anything there. BTW, is that plant Anubias?

Yes they are Anubias and there is discoloration on the leaf that I circled.

Yes, I can see something, but not clear enough to ID it. May be nothing. Individual leaves can vary, I see this all the time. As for the Anubias, this should not be planted in the substrate. If the rhizome is buried, it may well rot. Make sure the rhizome is above the substrate; most attach this plant to a piece of wood or rock. The true roots, the fine black hair-like roots, can work their way into the substrate, but just keep the rhizome (the thick bit from which the leaves and roots emerge) above.

I apologize for the delay in responding and updating. Everything is going great now. I defeated the black hair algae an epic battle the death. I got rid of all discoloration. Water levels are all good and everybody is healthy.

Also I'll be adding another dual light coralife fixture to up the wattage per gallon because I'm planning on adding some grass.

I finally got all the pieces start my other 30 gallon. I just have to clean the tank first. I think I have hard water stains. There's a few Brown and white rings w around the inside the tank. I've tried vinegar and water and it did nothing. I scrubbed for a good while too. Any suggestions. I'll post a picture of what talking about when I get home.
