New fish!! Male or female??

Hi guys,

I haven't posted in awhile because I had no more fish!

Got this fish from a friend on Friday! Yay!

It looks to me to be 3 inches long already and she got it at petwhatever. Is it male or female?

Male Bettas are only mean to other Bettas and some Gouramis, not to other fishes in general.
