NEW FISH~Pelviachromis taeniatus"Moliwe"

Thanks on all accounts. The best comedy ever made!!! I keep looking for new things from the movie to add. That and the stargate series will rule my avatar!!

Oh I don't know, I find "The Jerk" has some **** fine quotes in it as well. Particular as they apply to this hobby.

"And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this ashtray... And this paddle game. - The ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need... And this remote control. - The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need... And these matches. - The ashtray, and these matches, and the remote control, and the paddle ball... And this lamp. - The ashtray, this paddle game, and the remote control, and the lamp, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this."

*insert latest eyecandy fish liberally*

LOL, I forgot some of those lines. But Blazing saddles is the archie bunker of movies, can't make a film like that now 'cause people don't like to laugh at themselves, just others.
Back to topic though... fish are swimming in a 10g til I get my plants/shrimp in the next day or so. They are still washed out but... a day or two and they'll start to color up. Especially with a black substrate and bark rock/background.

I released these into my 10g (set up today, til I get my plants and such) about an hour ago. They started to color up right away and all of em started eating as soon as I dropped food. I couldn't be happier and I know that I have at least 2 males soooooo... Life is really great right now!!

dixie~ you had the "Moliwe" variant? I wish I would have known, I would have hit you up for these and saved hours of searching for em

they looked exactly like that,.. i just bought them with the first 2 names, and i could never find anything else that looked like them,.. so i'm assuming that they were,.. my male wasn't as colored up as the females,..he was for a while but some one killed the other male and so he had no competition. he didn't seem so interested in the females, they would shimmy and shake but nothing else,..lol

Dixie they now have eggs ;) I am pretty excited about it !!

GORGEOUS! I would love to have some of them!

Thanks again everyone! My goal is to breed these(and other dwarfs) to be able to bring more species into the hobby. I love kribs, rams and apistos but I want to bring more diversity into hobby and give more options for us as hobbiest to expand upon.
I was emailing the seller last night and was told that the leopard spotting on their fins is not commonplace, so I hope to get at least a pair with this trait and breed them. Hopefully my plants and such will come in today so I can finish scaping thier 20long and get them into their permanent home until they start to pair off. I'll start a thread once I get my stuff in.
Thanks again for the comments,
~FNC~
