New SW setup, newbie too

Fixed the camera on my phone, so I finally have clearer pictures! The leather didn't make it, within a few hours of adding it to the tank, it started to die. The LFS gave me full credit & we exchanged it for another torch.

I broke up the rock to seperate the yellow polyps, mushroom & small Kenya tree yesterday. The yellow polyps have split 4 times since I got them around 3 weeks ago. The green zoo's which are hard to see, have already started to spread and attach to the rock I placed them on, I've broken off a few pieces and placed them around in the tank. It's not where I want them, but they've done the best right there in the tank. I added a #3 powerhead because the toadstool mushroom wasn't opening at all with the canister & #2 powerhead. Finding a good place for the #3 has been difficult, I've since moved it to the top & back of the tank and the added flow opened up the mushroom within an hour. The coral on the top left (sorry I always forget it's name) isn't a big fan of the added flow, the LFS said they don't like too much flow. It's polyps have been halfway retracted since added the #3, hopefully I can arrange some new LR to help break up the strong flow from the #3, or find a new position for that coral.

Got some transition shells for the crabs/snails, I've lost 2 of the 5 snails. I've lost no crabs, there is some royal rumbles going on between all the crabs, but no fatalities.

The Watchman is starting to come out a bit more from his home, he's grabbing pellets and for whatever reason he is going around the tank and herding the nuisance star fish. He doesn't let them get out of his sight?

The Mandarin is eating the copepod population, I noticed he's still picking them off the glass too. I think I'm going to order a copepod culture from the LFS & help keep the population up sometime this week..

Getting the itch to set up the new tank, but I need to complete the refugium/sump & get a good skimmer... so far so good!

Looks great! I think I'll send you myt camera and see if you can fix it! :)

Going to see if I can get another 10-15 pounds of rubble rock so I can fill out the corners and create some more places for........coral.

I had my eye on this awesome green brain coral when I first started out, I didn't buy it because I thought I wouldn't be able to maintain it, I eye balled it every time I went in...sure enough the day I asked if it would thrive in my tank, it was sold. I'm bent I didn't ask and buy it when I could. The LFS said they usually get a lot of them in the summer and will try to get me one.

The reflective coating on the lens was wearing and chipping away, I used some of my polishing compounds to buff it off with a dremel & buffing wheel...clear pictures once again!

I just hate it when that happens and then you never see another piece like the one you drooled over for so long.

I know, I won't do that again...if I see something that catches my eye and it'll thrive in my tank, I'm buying it!

They will hold if I just ask, I think I've bought enough to have that privaledge by now... ;) I hope!

What kind of coral do you think would go good with filling out my tank for now until I switch to the new tank? I was thinking some colt coral & various maze brains? They have an awesome Lobo Brain but it's waaaay out of my budget @ $185. I know some people complain colt coral can be difficult to care for, but my LFS said they have little problems with it.
