Ace..no one was making a joke about torturing animals. Bio is a very accomplished aquarist...and I am sure the FW folks would see the issue quite readily up front.

Ok, i think this is going to escalate quickly, a mod getting into an argument with a user will not end well, plz close the thread b4 anyone gets banned, or worse. Of course you can edit the title to say "this is a joke" on the end, that would work too.

Here is a hint people, a joke is something that makes everyone laugh... making jokes about torturing and killing animals rates right up there with making jokes about pedophiles and what they do to kids in my book.

Would it be just as funny for me to go buy an discus and float it in my SW tank, take a picture and post it in the FW section saying "I was told if I slowly drip SW into the bag the fish will adjust and live fine"? NO, it would not!

I can not condone or support a forum that thinks making jokes about torturing the animals I love and spend my life trying to save is acceptable behavior. It is one thing for a normal user to have that attitude, but in my book, completely unacceptable for a mod to have that attitude. The mod will edit benign language out of my posts but the same mod will choose to sit back and laugh at how people get "mad" in a thread that is pointless and counter productive to the entire purpose of this forum.

Just my 2cents.

i was under the impression that guppies and other livebearers could easily adapt to full strength sw since they had some kind of inclination towards brackish.
