Hmmm... I am definitely thinking of using some HC in my next tank after seeing what you have done with it.

the hc really seems to have taken hold. I pushed a little wad of it today and could feel and hear the roots rip from the cork. I didn't realize it was so firmly attached. It's spreading now, even over raw cork.

Looking really awesome! How's the mini pellia doing on the cork?

thanks man. I'm excited to see in 3 months, what's happened with the minipellia. none of the bits I put on the cork have fallen off. and I really just stuck them wherever. some were just held in place by water movement at first. it's not growing super fast, but it's firmly affixed with no pins or string, and it is creeping outward, so that frond tips are not wet... the unwet color is a much lighter green, a little yellower than HC, but close in color.

I'd say it's doing well, better than submerged.
