Ok for the sump now

To make the bubble trap, you do the middle one first - i used a small chunk of 1x2" pine to space the baffle up 1" from the bottom, used masking tape to hold it in place, then siliconed both sides. Then, put the outer two on - you will obviously only be able to silicone these on one side. Then, put in the other baffle and you're good.

OMG...ok I'm sorry guys, REALLY I have know idea about these things (can ya tell LOL) I thought the baffles were little like 1/2" or so cuts in the top of the glass something like this...hope this works and excuse my "paint" lol

I went in with the measurements written on a piece of paper. I said I need 4 pieces of glass, here are the sizes. He said ok, went over and cut them, wrapped them, wrote a price, I paid and left.

LOL, I know that part silly....I thought they had to cut little "groves" in it?

grooves? oh you mean the teeth for hte fuge part? I don't have that, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a place that will do it. I would just use a piece of eggcrate siliconed along the top edge of hte glass to keep macro from going over the edge. I don't have anything and I've never had a problem though.

ok...a baffle is any of the glass pieces that you silicone into the sump. the things you are tlaking about are just teeth cut into the top of a baffle to keep macroalgae form overflowing out of the fuge.

Ahhh, sounds MUCH easier...ok, that is what I will do. I have to get to work, but while I'm there I plan to call a few places and get some pricing on those. Oh, wait...where do I get the egg crate? Just at a hardware store or walmart or what??

THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once I get the glass/acrylic I will be back...just to warn you ahead of time LOL!!

lol i was being facetious...thats exactly what i meant.

Yes Lady G, host hardware stores should carry the eggcrate. Its usually about 10-15 bucks for a 2'x4' piece.
