so if they float flat at the surface...and nothing else seems to be wrong with them...that's normal? just want to check, because i cant really see anything wrong other then his funny swimming
no - but it is only in a 400L with the bichir and the gn (with no plants or anything like that), so i could move it to a qt i already have which is up and running.
Oscar's are one of the meaniest cichlids out there. But they are also the most poutiest... Is that a word? Ok, anyways my guess is that he's just settling in.
today i put in a pack of live bloodworms, and they are in a cone feeder thingy - is it ok to leave them in the water like that until tomorrow? that is when i do my wc. they are not dead - but just wriggling everywhere. so this might mean they will not pollute water...?
Well, I would remove them after the fish appear to have fed and next time use less. Any uneaten ones that get out will just add to the waste that can cause an ammonia spike.
Well, in all reality, the Os are the piggies of the fish world. Kind of like competition eating. Shove it in and hope most of it makes down the gullet. When I feed mine large sticks, the tank looks like you churned up the sand bottom with an electric mixer.
