Even with daily 100% water changes I'm not sure you can keep nitrates under 20 when you have 25 fish in a bowl.
I read the entire thread. He says he does water changes in the bigger tank (a 55g I believe he said) once a month. Somebody mentioned using a denitrator...
He doesn't mention anything about water changes in the vase.
Somewhere along the line, a couple of people mentioned that they are too crowded, and can't behave like BP's "act in nature". Interesting, since there are no BP's in nature - they're a hybrid.
The last two posts (flame) are from new members... Actually, these are a couple of guys from a BP forum that were trying to get everybody to go over there and do that. I'm glad to see that the idea didn't catch on - gathering forces and flaming someone else's forum is, IMO, immature and stupid.
I was thinking of a quirk in BP genetics that allow them to survive, but I saw Clown Loaches in with them.
Has this guy found some magical way of keeping Nitrate down? If it would work in those circumstances, imagine what it could do in a normal tank... You could be at 0-0-0 all the time. I would think that would be great for your fish...
