My latest 'aqua' sition....he's a beauty. Payed only 12 $ for him at one of my LFSs. It's not the best picture...but good enough for now. I'm anxious to share...lol...I'll have to post another when I get a better one. :dance2:
Thought I'd share some pics:
Juvenile Osphronemus laticlavius (these get HUGE, they don't call them Giant gourami's for nothing. Ask if you have questions about care,

6 year old moonlight gourami
Juvenile balas, juvie discus, and Apollo the blue goldfish, waiting for some grub
I'll try to get some good shots of the clowns, but they're still a bit camera shy. I'll also try to get some better pics of the plecs.
***Warning*** - To the novice aquarists: Mixing predatory fish (i.e. the bichirs) with peaceful community fish (i.e. the clowns, goldfish, gouramis) must be done with extreme caution, thought, and responsibility.
I guarantee you that withought the right precautions, this setup would fall apart as soon as the bichirs reach 8"+. Sometimes you luck out and get peaceful bichirs, most times you don't. More than likely, I'll eventually have to find new homes for the bichirs, or set up new tanks (the more likely of the two, lol). Another option is keeping the bichirs heavily fed to induce lazyness, but water conditions and the bichirs health must be kept in check.

Some of my bichirs in a 55g q-tank, on their way into a 180 where they will reside with a volta endi and an ornate.

Wow, I love your Endlicheri's Spartan, how big are they? The large one looks almost 8". Can you post pics of your ornate?

The largest endi in the 55g is ~12" and the laps are ~13", i have one in the 180g which is around 13", including tail an easy 15".
My ornate is always chilling under his log, only comes out to get food so i don't have any good pics of it. Its around 9" right now

The final fish for the 180g are going to be 5 endis, 2 laps and an ornate, plus my green aro. Its going to be a fair bioload, so i want to get that 180g sump set up asap.
In a smaller tank there will be 2 delhezis, 2 palmas buettikoferi, 1 zaire green, and a retropinnis (once its large enough)

Although quite pricey in Japan, you guys can get a hold of top grade captive bred endis! Do you know about this- http://www.gef-endlicheri.com/top.html Have you seen the smaller endis with their external gills? Very pretty, always wanted one, but i'll never get external gills with wild caught endis
