Pics of nice giant Gouramis(not small)

I can agree with so cal that I have lost some respect for some of the forrum members here. How many times has it been said that if you dont like a thread, then dont post in it? Jason, post your new pics of that guarmie, in another thread since I get the feeling this one will be locked soon. If you did PS the pic to make it look better then so what?

I agree with sumthin fishy. An admin person for this forum should close this thread as it is only full of insults and useless info. Let's all try to get over it please!

You guys need to leave him alone, if he is lying than so be it... if hes telling the truth than thats fine too. wont you all feel extremely bad if he is telling the truth. He said it was roughly 8" which would still be a baby in terms of giant gourami. So it still could look like that, as far as the picture Im pretty sure that gourami's do not move all that much at least most of the ones that I have seen do not. As far as the people photoshopping that picture yeah its funny, but really immature. You are talking about trolls but you all were doing what trolls do, stealing a thread and turning it useless. My earlier post on this thread saying why would someone take all the time to photoshop a picture to post on here was not against jason it was in his defense so dont take it that way.
ty

Just a couple of comments to throw out...

There are many gouramis sold as Giant Gourami's that really aren't.....

And if that is a real picture, then what kind of camera did you use to take it? I can't get anything even close to that with ANYTHING I've tried, so I want to know how you did it.
its a kinda old Nikon something something
its like only 2 pixels or something
its like 5 years old
i was surprised to get a clear pic

right..

if you have time to post, then you have time to get more pics

FWIW I wasn't intending to make fun of Jason's gourami. I was more into making fun of George Bush. The gourami was just the perfect color for GW's head.

Political business aside, I'd never seen a giant gourami until Jason posted his. The adults are strangely compelling to look at and I'm really interested in seeing more pictures of his baby.

I am interested in seeing the entire Setup..

Tragedy strikes!!

Terrible news. I went to the store yesterday to find some friends for my dogrami. They had run out, but they had several other giant breeds, and assured me they would be compatible. I picked up a Trichogaster georgus bushii along with an alligator garami, and a troll gourami. They tried to sell me a christmas gourami but it was a painted variety and I do not buy those (see below - and Happy Holidays all).

Now my Bushrami is hurt and I'm not sure which one did it.

It could be either of these

or the dogrami already in the tank. I have put him in quarantine, but I don't think he'll make it.

Should I take the other two back? I am not so sure these fish are as compatible as they told me. :help:
