Planted 33 Flat Back Hex (Many pics!)

Very nice work mister :)

Thanks for your 2cents LeahK! I always like to get multiple opinions on things.

looking good so far!
Thanks, that means you're gonna want good updates huh? :)
How 'bout some harlequin rasboras, and some type of corydora? Then maybe a single angel?
I know you said small fish, but a super veil tail would look awesome in there with a school of smaller fish.
I absolutely love harlequins, always have! My only problem is that everyone else seems to love them too. :) I am really looking for something different in this tank, every other aga entry has harlequins (or similar). That's why I was leaning towards the meteor minnows, ember tetras (outside of this forum & a couple others most people never even heard of them!), or even lampeye killis.

Definitely getting a school of habrosus corys! :thm: Thanks so much for your great suggestions!

Very nice work mister :)
Thank you but it's miss. :D

OOPS !!!!!!! :) Sorry, Nice work Miss !!!!!!! :) :thm:

Since you want small schooling fish, you might want to consider bloodfin tetras (Aphyocharax anisitsi). A school of about 10 would look gorgeous against the dark substrate.

You did a really nice job on that cabinet, btw. :thm:

Or a school of small rainbows such as P. furcatus, Pseudomugil gertrudae, praecox, threadfins, celebes etc. :) I saw celebes at Petco the other day and they are really pretty!

Firefox crashed and wiped out my whole post!! :swear:

No problem! It is hard to tell with this digital skin we all have. :D

Another fish I really like! And have previously considered, I eliminated it due to it's size but may revisit this species again. They really are striking!

Thank you! :)

That's my kind if thinking! P. furcatus is actually a fish I thought about a while ago because of my hard alkaline waters but with the Co2 added this tank will be nearly neutral. So I am trying to get some fish that may not do as well in my non Co2 tank. I definitely plan to have some of these guys in another tank as soon as possible though! :)

All the other rainbows are now on my list of possibilities! Thank you!!!

small colourful fish? Guppies!!!!! hahahahaha.
lol Not quite what I am going for. :)

Thanks! For the most part I stalk the classifieds so it only a matter of time before I find a good deal. :) I have tried to ban myself from craigslist though because I end up finding too many deals & I seriously do NOT need any more stuff right now...maybe a bigger house though. :) I have more projects than I can handle at the moment.

Plants?

Ok not much of an update. I need to sell the $250 worth of Mbunas I have so I can buy more plants!!! That and I am waiting for my driftwood to sink, maybe another couple of days.

I got the reactor to work so I am holding off on building the external reactor for now, gives me a project for a later point in time.
