Ok I get. lol fertilizing 3 days a week instead of one, real genius there. What is happening with this sytem is, with the right dose amount there is not an excess of nutrients. If you test for N and P after each change you’ll see that the plants have “soaked up” the nutrients and left a nutrient deficient situation for about a day, 3 times a week!

You obviously have not read any planted forums or articles since you didn't even know what it was. So stop acting like you know everything about plants since this method would have definitely been introduced to you if you've done any amount of research.
You cannot treat ONE TANK as the end all be all of planted aquaria. I repeat, that...THIS IS ONE INSTANCE. You say that this isn't rocket science, but it still is a science. You're throwing out vague statements as to what the plants are doing or not doing without giving us any data to support your statements. Anecdotal info is fine, if you leave it as your opinion based on experience. You're presenting this as if it were fact...far from it.
The EI method works. Look at Tom's (plantbrain) pic and tell me otherwise.
I don't care who he is, he doesn't know why his system works (or worst he does) he just knows that at the right doses it works. And in the future he will use his "Estimative Index" to sell something if he hasn't started already. The fact of the matter is it is still a nutrient deficient system.
He will use this as a starting point to sell something…period!

furthermore, I'd buy a method and a product from him, with his tanks looking like that, than I ever would from you, waltzing in here with an attitude like that and a lackadaisical method that happened to work for you, once.

I'm not spamming! All he has done is "create" a "method" to grow plants. I am trying to tell people that it is not necessary to follow a method. He is actually telling people to not test! LOL He doesn’t want people to find out what is actually going on!
Just buy into him and your plants will grow beautifully and you can spend your time clipping and looking at your beautiful tanks.
He wants to make your life easier. Sounds like a salesman to me!
One of the problems with your salesperson theory is that he has been doing this for years. I have never seen him try to sell anyone anything on any site.

I reread the first post and want to point out how flawed of a statement this is.
1) Not all algae are unicellular. Most chlorophyta are, but not all.
2) Algae store energy as starch in their pyrenoids.

Point 1 - By definition, anything you do that follows any sort of routine procedure is considered a method. From your first post, it sounds like you have a pretty good routine on how you do water changes, add ferts, etc. Whether that routine is used due to research, reception through a sales pitch, or reached through trial and error is irrelevant.
Point 2 - I don't see anything in that definition about sales or selling. If you are inferring that anyone using a "method" to teach with is selling something, I would suggest you yourself have something to sell (ref point 1 above).
