Please help with fish diseases...

So I have my lionfish and the dogface puffer sitting in the same tank. About a week ago they both caught Ick and I treated it with some organic compound. Unfortunately, 2 days ago my heater thermometer broke and it heated the tank up to 29.5C (my regular temp is 26C). The temperature was reduced to normal overnight and a new heater was installed. The consequences are not pretty (the Ick was gone a few days ago also):

Puffer: Breathes very fast, doesn't show regular interest to food, today it is covered with some white layer of slime that comes off it in a shape of long white threads, the teeth (both top and bottom) are sticking out and the tongue is moving quickly inside the mouth, the top of its body is very dark also and it doesn’t swim.

Lionfish: Is not active at all, no interest to food, breathes VERY heavily and fast, and this morning I noticed a white/gray layer on his eyes….


Could you please help me and suggest me what to do? Should I do water changes? Any help will be greatly appreciated….. Photos of both fish are attached.

Oh my God. Those pics just gave me a flash back when I had my 55gal. My puffer and my lion looked the same way right before they died. The slime is good, the pufer is fighting away the disease. Do you have a hospital tank? I would treat the lion for cloudy eye syndrom. I would watch the puffer since he is trying to fight the infection. If you see the lion poping its head up and down on the waters surface, poor guy didn't make it. Lets see if anyone else has any advice for you.
 
I don't have a hospital tank...
The lion isn't popping its head up and down on the water surface. In fact it either swims (not too much thou) or lies on the gravel
 
i would go with antibiotics. i love maracin-two, it will help even very sick fish. read the chart from the pack and match the syndroms. hurry. you can use it in the main tank, it will not harm corals. i saved my yellow tang wit that med. what your fish have often goes with ick.
 
do some water change before treatment. it's also a good practice when something goes wrong anyway. some meds can cause oxigen deplition. maybe it has something to do with the med that you used. do at least 25%. sometimes better breathing in fish can be noticed right away with water change.
 
I did a 1/3 tank water change. Puffer started swimming but non of them eats. Should I go with antibiotics?
 
wait a minute. i'll have more info. this particular antibiotic will treat even not eating fish.
 
it seem as maracyn-two would be a way to go. it controls gram-negative bacterial infections.
