:iagree:Have a better idea. Save the money and kill sexual predators. They are worhless to society.
Your, point is a good one there Lchap. I agree, there is a line..but I think we could all agree that line isn't that thin, someone in the situations you mentioned no...they should not be considered predators I don't know that they are...they do have to follow the same rules as any sex offender, but I'm not sure they fall under the predator status. They may in some states, every state has different guidelines until all states can come together on the rules and regulations that qualify a person as a sexual predator it should never even be considered. I did a big study here, for our "stranger danger" class they have in our kids self-defense class, and wow you would be amazed at just how many are around your area...and closer to the schools then you would think. The only problem I have with this is how do we define sexual predator...there's always the serial rapists/murders and 75yo pedophiles that go after 8yo girls...and it's clear they're in the category you want to get rid of...but many States also add the drunken frat boy who screwed the drunken sorority girl who decided she wouldn't have done it if she weren't drunk, and therefor he must have raped her...the 18yo that's been dating the same girl for 3 years in highschool, but gets charged/convicted because for a few months she's still 17...
There's a fine line, but a firm and definite line must be drawn (one that can be quantized...that's how criminal law works)...and I may not agree with the same exact line you do...but I agree on the extreme cases that they cannot be rehabilitated back into society and therefor death or lifetime imprisonment are the only options...and death -should- be the cheaper of the two for society.
I believe it is still on topic Blue, just discussing different aspects of the post. Yes, it does need to stay clean though! Thanks for the reminder:grinyes:Lets keeep this on topic and clean..
