Prisoners 'to be chipped like dogs'...

IMO, this is a 2 edge sword kinda thing. I think it is GREAT for sexual predators sorry, but these are ppl who have no business walking our streets...yep they may do their time but it is proven they WILL do it again, if we are going to let them out....knowing exactly where they are at all times is a wonderful thing. I do see it though as an invasion of privacy, so at the same time it really isn't a good idea, but sorry they do not deserve privacy.

For your run of the mill criminal....robbery, drugs, tax evasion, ect...no I do not see it.
i agree

"I'm sorry sir you've tested negative for all narcotics and have no previous convictions. That together with your moderate social drinking habits makes us concerned that you may not adjust positively in our organisation"
LOL, I just made my 3yo jump when I laughed out loud!!!!!

The point is that there should not be the ability for such scrutiny if there's no reason to think wrongdoing is being done...You can't tap someone's phone without a court order (proving probable cause), neither should you be able to spy on their life.

Yes, but they are talking about for people being "released" from prison.... not just some random Joe off the streets.

Giving in... one freedom at a time. Many people can be tracked hour by hour in their lives nowadays.

... ....

We love and embrace technology and when all these little things add up we find ourselves under a magnifying glass one day wondering how it all happened.

Q
That's right!

The time will come when we wonder why this happened.
How easy it is to forget basic freedoms - without being watched, tracked, taped, analyzed.

(thanks for keeping this 'non-political.. :) )

I'm pretty sure my fiance had a chip implanted in my head when I was asleep one night...can't explain why I otherwise end up watching sex in the city and visiting home decor outlets at weekends.
lol

Anybody trying to put a chip in me will first have a one ounce piece of lead put in them at upwards of 2200FPS.
