Coral of some type. May just be a skeleton but tough to tell. Encrusting monti, leptastrea, possibly and encrusting gonipora.Could be a sponge but I don't think so. If its soft, that is what it is.

Hmmm it's not soft like a sponge, but it glows green under actinics, so it's not a skeleton...

That looks great, I am really considering that light fixture. The LEDs are a little more money up front, but I have read that they save money quick as you dont have to replace the bulbs and they hardly use any power. Do they get hot?

I wouldn't say "hot" but the top gets kind of warm, but that pretty much happens on most high powered fixtures. I have no regrets buying that light fixture so far.

The coral has a texture like a pavona coral
It's a little less fuzzy though

I don't think it's a pavona coral, but it kind of looks like it

Do y'all know of any good DIY coral food for the zoanthids? I found a coral, but I'm not sure what it is... It looks like a xenia, and kind of like a pest anemone

Any clearer pictures? And maybe a better idea of color. Otherwise it looks like a Kenya Tree grown in a shaded area.
