PVC Caves?

I just made some last night with gladware bowls, silicone and sand from my tank. They are little huts, the smallest that someone might put dressing in. The larger one is going to be someone's huge cave condo. I also took 2 outlet covers and stuck them together with silicone them so they are like a teepee. I will let you know what the fish go in.

I let mine dry for 24 hours and rinsed. Used aquarium sealant, hope that was long enough.

Black PVC, are we sure it is ok for tanks?

Nebraska ,nice work! You will have to let us know if they go all the way in the long caves. You could do the whole back with your caves, all connected. Like a hamster tubes. Hmmm... never thought of looking at hamster accessories...

I put some small, short curved ones and t-shaped ones end to end (but not connected) and my Convict liked to swim through the pipes. I could see him as he swam from pipe to pipe in the gap between.

I made this one out of a PVC drain pipe. Glued some rocks and plants with DAP . Sorry for the pic quality.

I have used pvc for caves for smaller cichlids and to act as spawning surfaces for angels. Works quite well, in not toxic (inert material) and easy to keep in supply. You would be surprised how much you get for the money.
