Heh, there are so many Python fans on this board... I use the fifty foot model and love it. I refuse to change water with antyhing else ever again. I am spoiled. Love your Python.

You may ask the lady for a demo to make sure everything works. You can buy a 25 footer brand new from Big Al's for around $25.00.

I see.............. Cool beans. Thanks Harlock! Your the man!

Buy it if it works! I just got a 50 foot from Big Al's and I don't know how I managed without it all this time! :bowing:

I think that if I didn't have my python I wouldn't have gotten my 90gal. Also its really easy to splice in more hose if you need extra length.

I got one for easter and it is a 25ft model and is not long enough so I ordered an extension hose but it ha not been delivered yet so I cant use mine right now but I can't wait to try it out.

Thats a steal deal! Give'er $10. and say "Thank You!"
I recently bought a 50' Python after doing the bucket brigade for years :thud: ...
Why I didn't buy one sooner I'll never stop asking myself when doing GV's & PWC's now ;) .
For exampe, I got home last night at 1am after driving 830+ miles after visiting family in Illinois for four days. I'd forgot to do a PWC before leaving and my NO3 was elevated :o , 40ppm....
Its 1am and I just drove 830+miles, fish come first, no problem.
Within ten minutes and practically no effort, I did a 30% PWC on my 75gal, drain, adjust water temp, add dechlor (Prime) and topped it off.
Abbra Cadabbra! NO3 levels down to 10ppm just like that

$10 IS a steal IMO for a Python, I also have the 50 footer and I cannot imagine life without it..... well as far as water changes are concerned. I also use the python to syphon rain water off the pool cover (from melted snow) and it works like a charm. So it's not just for fish tanks (of course be careful as far as that goes because of any debris stuck in the hose if using for anything other than fish tanks.)

so with these is it OK to add the dechlor directly to the tank while the water is comming straight from the tap? the chlorine won't harm the fish?

I always add about a third of my dechlor directly to the tank before the water starts coming in, and then two drops of Prime in each filter, just as a precaution. Then I add the rest directly to the incoming stream of water. Works like a champ, never damaged a fish or my biofilter.
