Quick review of the 9 Watt submersible UV generic sterilizer & replacement bulbs

BEWARE RESTOCKING FEES!

One other thing actually NEW. I decided I will be sticking with this seller I bought this working bulb from lotuspond2010, as long as I have already had some success. Reading the fine print on some other sellers I noted either no returns allowed or prohibitive restocking fees, none of which this seller lotuspond2010 has. I found out that restocking fees are not covered by buyer protection plan, which means that if in the fine print could be so prohibitive as to make a buyer refund moot or at least very discouraging. So I have decided to place restocking fees on my list of sellers to steer clear from.

restocking fee does not apply to an auction IF you were not sent the exact item in the auction listing i had this problem once with a item sent but but it wasnt the exact item i bought. seller demanded restocking fee, paypal said no to the sellers fee and i got a complete refund. sellers use the restocking fee as a tool to discourage people from buying a item then returning it for no reason for a refund. under those conditions i agree with the restocking fee but not when they send the wrong item and you have to return it.

I think Paypal is much better to work with and only got results from them after I was told I would have to pay return shipping, even at 90% cost original item, and even with item defective, and wrong item sent. But later when I complained to Paypal they agreed with my side on the phone and broke the deadlock to get me a full refund with no required return shipping decision. My point is what I posted above is new info I just got from eBay that regardless of item not as advertise or defective both restock and return track shipping cost required by buyer. However I believe your story becasue I don't doubt that Paypal sees things different becasue they are the financial branch of the company and have to follow slightly different rules IMO. From now on if I ever have another dispute (probubly another 10 years from now) I will be filing my dispute with Paypal. 10 years before my next dispute becasue Im adding my next layers of protection from these auctions. So on top of no more addictive bidding wars, no more overseas purchases, no more buying from reputations below 99%, and no more buying items with restock fees, very simple. Ultimately the buyer who is the real customer is in control of ebay and Im sure I am just one of many who see it that way.

i have been buying alot from sellers in china and hong kong and the very very low prices they sell a item for and most time offering free shipping makes me think the chinese goverment is offering unfair low postage rates to companys selling on ebay since there is no way they can sell for almost nothing and ship free. and make any money but as long as they continue this practice i will take advantage of it. it takes a few weeks longer to get a item from there but the savings to me makes it very well worth a little longer wait and so far no problems all items arrive well packed and just as advertised.
on ebay its buyer beware and its your money so use caution and only pay with paypal so you can get a complete refund.
I always advise dont waste time trying to settle a problem thru ebay just go to paypal and file for a refund thats how you get results.

Ironically Eba y owns PayPal, but your right Paypal as a financial institution has to be more careful and I got a person to speak with and assurances, where ebay just text me saying "send it back" . That company that sole me and another member the defective bulbs is not longer selling, inventory gone. But I suspect they will reappear under a new name.

By the way Rod how do you like those Chinese sump filter socks that are sheer like nylon, do they clog quicker then the thick felt socks. Im partial to 7" socks myself becasue of the larger surface area a volume as I place another lining-layer of blue-bold on the inside, sort of a pre-filter which make that sock last allot longer going on 4 months now with the same sock.
