Nice looking tank, but i have a major problem with your stocking choices. There's a great disparity between the aggression levels of the convicts and jacks, and the rest of your fish. It's clear from the appearance of your keyhole that these issues already exist, and they will certainly only get worse as the fish continute to grow, or worst case, pair off. Since your tank is a bit on the small side for a burly Central American display, I'd suggest going the more peaceful SA/or community display route. If you have your heart set on medium sized cichlids, fish like festivums, bolivian rams, kribs etc... will fit the bill quite nicely without unduly terrorizing the other residents.

Once the Cons start breeding if you have a M and F the rest of the inhabitants will most likely be killed off.

I agree with Inka, if you want a bunch of Cichlids go less aggressive or go African.

yes the convicts have spawned and currently have fry, i under stand what your all saying but the convicts get there own 40 gallon in a week when my EBJD comes in because the show case 55 will become my breeding project tank. the keyhole is stressed out i under stand this im trying to rehome him but all my oher tanks have aggresive cichlids, jacks, texas, convicts, this is the nly set up where hes not torn up yet. i plan on giving him to my work as a gift.

Oops :D I was commenting on how it was looking...the mix is...not great.

so i should add more plants and a few more rocks and such?
