Ray of sunshine

My ray of sunshine right now is me FINALLY getting a job, and my license!

As always, my girlfriend of 2 years, and my family are constant rays of sunshine.

My cat is probably the biggest out of all of those rays though, shes the best cat in the world.

My ray of sunshine has been every day since September 23, 2008. When I lost just about everthing I owned to a fire, almost my life and my husband and children, I've got a greater appreciation of just being alive. Everything in precious, even the hardships that we all go through. This is a great thread by the way. Ya'll are a great Ray of Sunshine too!

My good friend is coming home from college for us to celebrate her birthday!!! I'm really looking forward to seeing her! We always have a ton of fun :)

Oo! I thought of another one that I forgot yesterday. I'm picking up a 55 gallon tank and stand today. Unfortunately, it's not for fish, but for my turtles, since their tank is leaking. (It might end up having a few fish in it since these turtles are well fed and only seem to be interested in minnows (totally ignored the extra guppies I put it there for them to eat...). Or I might reseal my 29 gallon and use it for fish.) AND it will cost me $110, but I found out today my sister is paying me $80 for babysitting, I have about $15 dollars in change, which means I only have to pull out $15 from my bank account, and that means I can afford to get the filter I want. Yay!

My ray of sunshine is Sev and counting down the days to our wedding cruise! :D

T minus 63 days...

My ray of sunshine is Hooked Newbie, and the countdown to the wedding day, and also the countdown to the end of March, when we can finally live together. It's going to be extremely hectic for both of us up until then, but I am SO looking forward to the end result- I get to marry my best friend. :)

My other ray of sunshine is my dogs.

Aaaaawww! :)

^ took the words right out of my mouth :D

my dad got home safe from an 18 hour drive from the snow stricken north, glad for that

and i like this thread, reading about others peoples happiy stories kinda lightens my troubles...

i had a ray of sunshine today... on my way through town, there was a grass fire in an empty lot, and it had grown to threaten a house on the adjacent lot. due to the delay in someone calling 911, the fire dept didnt show up right away, and another passerby and i were able to run back and forth kicking the flames and burning brush back, until they showed up and put it out.. the ray of sunshine was the look of relief on the lady's face when she realized her house wasn't going to burn anymore. :)

This is a great thread - so many uplifting rays of sunshine. My rays of sunshine are my 3 kids. I get a really big kick out of Andrew boasting about how he is "bigger" (meaning older) than his twin Philip -- he doesn't seem to care or realize that 2 minutes older is not that much :). Always makes me smile (and always makes his brother annoyed!). Here's a pic of my rays.

Cats (yeah, there's an echo in here.) My brother's cat, Koga, loves to be around me. Whenever I'm not in my room he usually makes me drop what I'm doing so I can pick him up and pet him and drown him in love. My own cat, Sugar, is very small and skittish (she's always been that way) but every now and then if I'm in a quiet room she'll jump on lap for some love. It helps when I'm having a bad day.

Last weekend I was at PetCo in the parrot room giving them some attention (they all squawk something terrible from being alone all day but they stop when you go in there and talk to them) and this one dusky conure was being very sweet. He let me scratch his neck and when he was done with that he decided to perch on my finger through the bars and it just made my day. He was so cute. I was sad when I had to leave the poor guy.
