Yes the feed button shuts the pump down completely for 10 minutes, I can handle all the water that comes down from the overflows but once the water starts to drain back down from the locline it will eventually flood my sump if I let it keep going.
So your saying just bend the locline up above the water? That would work I guess, I noticed in your picture you had a check valve on the pump but maybe that's to throttle your flow.
I hear you on the Caribsea part, that's why I thought I would just start a damsel and monitor the tank, no signs of ammonia yet, not sure if it hasn't already cycled with the live sand. I'll keep an eye on it, you think another week and I should be ok if the levels check out?
