I saw four of them at a time today. They've set up a ring around the back, almost as if they are guarding it. They did the same thing when I first got them. I could be anthropomorphizing, but it really looks like a guard ring, lol. Of course, the one I didn't see was the female.

it could be a sacrificial ceremony as they guarded the victim as she was tied to the stone tablet and they pulled out the ceremonial obsidian dagger........ but what do i know

Nope, she's never had flack. I saw her yesterday, confirming they are all alive. They have started to display brighter colors.
