Severum fish

I'm not great at sexing, but the dorsal and anal fins do look longer which would indicate male. It appears to be a younger fish yet.

The orange here is a male. The 
green is female. They live in a 125 G with 4 smaller sevs. The big pair has been laying eggs on the tank wall and eating them all. They engage in this liplocking thing as part of the courtship

They engage in this liplocking thing as part of the courtshipHmm...Daisy, I would have bet foreground green is male with those long dorsal & anal fins...unless than lonngg dorsal is an optical illusion (or streak on the glass? a pic thing? I think not)
Still anal fin is way too long for female. Of the 3 adult sevs I guess the gold is most likely female with fins & chubby tummy too, but the background "lurker" has similar fins.
Your fish are breaking all my "rules" of cichlid sexing, lol! I'm always willing to admit I'm wrong. But have you actually watched who lays the eggs & who fertilizes them?

I’m no fish gender rule breaker . Far more likely I’m Severum Stupid. These were the first sevs I ever saw. The person who gave them to me so identified them, saying the green spawned. & the orange is her man. I trusted & did not verify. No, I never saw eggs laId. Thanks so much for the severum education!
I'm not sure who is educating who on cichlid sexing. I've been wrong with angels more than a few times, no reason sevs should be all that different. My rule: If there are eggs there's a female, lol. If there are fry there are 1 of each gender 
Fin shapes, colors etc be darned. There are many "long finned" & different color fish these days.
Cichlids are not very shy about laying eggs & fertilizing them. Keep an eye on them & watch for site cleaning before any egg laying event. Most cichlids prefer a smooth rock, wood, or filter intake, etc. to lay eggs on. Nice & gentle on ovipositers
Judging by your last pic that could be a "lip lock" that cichlids sometimes do to test the compatibility of a possible pair. It takes some teamwork to breed & raise fry But males tend to be the weaker link, get bored with tiny fry care & ready to breed again.
It's all very interesting to watch whether they're successful or not...they'll likely be ready to try again in a just a couple weeks. Practice helps
