Shrimp Gone Missing Overnight

I have plants, but not very many, as it's going to be a brackish tank. I have six stalks of bacopa monnieri and then a few bunches of java fern in the rocks. I would be able to see them in the plants, but nothing. I'm thinking maybe they've managed to hide in the rocks, but I'm not so certain.
 
check all around the outside of the tank, I have a glass lid on my tank but they shrimp found a way out by the hob filter and found them on the floor by the tank dead
 
I had that thought too, but I can't find any around the tank.
 
no fish in the tank ? shrimp will eat their dead commrads, but wouldn't imagine that many that quick
 
No fish. The shrimp were the only inhabitants besides maybe two herbivorous pond snails.

Here are the pictures, Tanker. I got one of the main tank and tried to get some of the various rock structures and plants to see if you can spot anywhere where they might be hiding. I didn't get a chance to feed the tank today, I'm going to do it tomorrow. If they don't come out when I feed, should I apply to LiveAquaria for replacements? I have up to two weeks to do it, but I'd rather earlier if they are dead so I can actually have something alive in my tank. Don't want that bacteria to starve.

That tank is looking nice. When are you going to put your shrimp in? :D

But seriously, with all them nooks and crannies you will never be able to find them unless they come out. Plus they will blend in with the color of the rocks.
 
Okay, I'll try feeding the tank. Let's hope everyone's still here!
 
Alright, so I put some frozen brine shrimp into the tank about ten minutes ago. So far, not much effect. I was hoping to see an army of shrimp come pouring out to gobble up the food, but alas, no such thing. However, it is officially confirmed that we have two live shrimp! I'm sitting in front of the tank right now, and I can see two amano shrimp happily gobbling up algae. So, I'm more inclined to think all the shrimp are hiding now. I'm still a bit hesitant to accept that, though, since I still can't see how fifteen shrimp can all manage to hide that well, but there's one more than I thought, so I'm optimistic. What do you guys think? Should I try feeding again tomorrow, maybe this time with a plant based food, to see if i can lure some more little guys out?
 
Thanks for the pics "CP". Lots of hiding places, so the shrimps may all still be in the tank. I would not recommend feeding them brine shrimp. Drop a very small piece of algae waffer into the tank and see.
 
I can pick up some algae wafers at Petco later. I also have frozen vegetable food, would they like that? They only reason I went with brine shrimp is because when I had amanos two years ago, they would go ballistic over anything I put in the tank, so I thought these guys might too.
