I havae 2 of these, a 29 and a 40. I tried to spot-reseal the 29 and it didn't work...I did a full reseal of the 40gal and its been in use for over a year now. They're very cool looking tanks, although heavy.
thats a bummer - i was hopeing for a vintage top - O'well - i am hopeing mine will hold water with no reseal - i dont mind doing any of the other tanks but this one seams kinda tricky - thanks for all the replies - tim
i got the tank in ithaca ny - i got a metal frame 10 gal tank as well but no slate bottom - this morning there is no water under the tank and the seem that was wet yesterday is dry now - i think it will hold - i'm going to let it sit for a couple of more days -
this is usually what happens to me, when i set mine up, which is why i said to wait a few days, ..Just keep an eye, and as long as its still dry, it should hold.
I may have a metal top that will fit...where do you live? I'll check the size when I get home, I'll give it to you for the price of shipping if you're interested.
14850 is the area code - yeah - that would be sick if i got a top for it
judgemax - good call if i had not read that i would have been way upset thinking i had to reseal it - i would just think it would keep getting worse - im stoked on this tank -
