i have an all sand 75 gallon aquarium, wih a few plants.
and i planned o getting more.
I'd really like to get some snails, but im not sure if i can with
the plants. i used to catch snails locally and they were pretty cool,
but they DEVOURED all my plant leaves. are there any snails i can
keep safely with my plants?

thanks,
-andrew.

Oh! You need a bridgesii, or mystery snail. They are so cool. You can get them in pink. purple, jade, ivory, olive etc. They are great. I have 8 in my 55 and about 40 babies that I am waiting to grow out.

I also favor brigs (pomecea diffusa), especially as you can easily avoid breeding them by either getting all the same sex or knocking the eggs into the water where they won't develop. I also love the sulawesi snails.

You really can't avoid having snails in a planted aquarium. Buy enough plants, and you will get MTS and bladder snails.
