So I'm going to get a puffer fish...

Well dang, I tested the water today after dumping in some brine shrimp and the test tube was bright yellow!!!
I guess the bacteria is STILL ALIVE OMG or I will have to dive in rhino **** and the bacteria is dead?

Bright yellow indicating what? How long after adding the brine shrimp did you test for...whatever you are testing?

I think you should start all over IMO. IMO, I would empty the tank and cycle all over again, a fishless cycle to give you time and thought to save up some money, and do the proper research on the fish you intend on getting, not because they just "look cool". This in turn, will show us that you respect the lives of the possible inhabitants you are planning on getting, and thus, possibly earn you some respect on this forum.
No offence, but I have gone through this thread and your mind seems to be everywhere and you can't seem to make up your mind. Give it a thought. It may work out in the end.

p.s fishless cycles can take anywhere from 3 weeks to a few months. give it time, It will be worth it.

That's how long I left my tank alone. I have 2 small snails that have been in there forever and they are doing great.

I also have 2 bumblebee gobies in the tank and they haven't tried going up to the surface for oxygen once. They are still very alert, and they swim around the tank. I have had them since Monday.

I agree with childawg... leaving it alone means nothing. It just means you stalled your cycle... and have to go through it all over again.
I am fishless cyling right now.
I check my levels once in the morning... and sometimes once at night, this is after my ammonia level stabilized after I hit 4-5 ppm.
Its not as easy as you would think..
It takes time and preparation to set up a tank, all I know is that my fish are going to love me for it in the end.

I also happened to have several anacharis plants in there, and they sort of "died" but they are now regrowing. If rotting plant matter can give off ammonia, then I guess I could say that the plants helped cycle the tank. I srsly need to upload a picture of my tank right now but it's gonna be hard to shoop out the bumblebee gobies.

Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: Looks like it could be between 5.0 and 10, but It's probably 5.0
Ammonia: 0
pH: 8.2
So far so good. :D
